Any channel already opened are available in your chat bubble in the top right under DM.
To set up new connections you have to be at least Trust level 1
There are 4 trust levels that could be changed, but these defaults limit spam etc.
to make the first level and be able to do posts…
So minimal requrements.
So you are signed in and active enough to be trusted with some things…
Expose the menu if hidden (Top Left “Hamburger Menu” 3 lines…)
BTW that FAOL icon gets you back to the Category main page for now.
At the bottom is DMS (Direct Messaging System.)
If you hover over it to the right is a + sign. For Creating a Personal Chat
That brings up a pop up where you can type their name
select the right search result and the chat (Facebook style?) opens bottom right… Type in the bottom and away you go…
And unless you close it it will be instantly available under the chat bubble in the upper right for next time.
