Fly Dreamers ???

Recently on Facebook I saw a link to Fly Dreamers (flydreamers.com) billed as a Fly Fishers Community. In fact it advertised itself as:

[i]?The First Fly Fishing Network in the USA. Sign up Now, its Free! /i

The first thing I said was ?Hah!? thinking of FOAL. But what I was wondering what it was all about. So I clicked in the link and you cannot see anything unless you register. And as unregistering from these things can sometime be a pain if not impossible, I was wondering if anyone else has joined and deemed it worthwhile?

Haven’t see it but I would be highly suspicious. Sounds like a virus to me.

I don’t think it is a virus, but may be one of those advertisement loaded “communities” with little or no real value.
That is why I wish I could see the layout.

I didn’t have to join anything to view the flytying pages. A number of decent step-by-steps, although some of the photography is a bit jarring, color/contrast wise. Thanks for the link; always nice to have additional resources and references.

I too signed up for their newsletters and check out the sight and find it another enjoyable source of info and reading.

I’m sure it’s legitimate. But what I saw seemed to be catering to the financially high end clientele. I joined, but I don’t go there.

It is legit. I am a member but rarely go there since most of the people who are members there are also friends on my FB page or in the fly fishing pages I frequent on FB…
