Our tecky Ron Tidd is looking for something which you may have already done - a list of our Fly of the Week with the specific use of the fly, dry fly, wet, terestrial, nymph and so on. Is that what you have done?

Deanna: I have already been doing the same with the free FAOL Fly Pattern CD’s

I even sent Ron Tidd a CD with all the “Just Old Flies and stuff” articles to help him replace missing articles. Ron has a computer program to convert the pdf article back to their orignial format for FAOL.

I have the each years fly patterns in their own folder, and the flies in each of the year folders are then seperated into 4 more folder (Jan-Mar)(Apr-Jun)(Jul-Sep)(Oct-Dec)
I also have a folder listing all the members who submitted fly pattens, that have all the articles they contributed. Then I have the fly catagory folder that has 14 folders accord to type of fly pattern; Christmas, Dremel, Dry, Emerger, Midge, Nymph, Popper, Presentation, Salmon/Steelhead, Saltwater, Streamer, Terrestrial, Tube, Wet.

I also have Ron Lucas’s “Atantic Salmon”, “Just Old Flies” Al, Campbells “Fly Tying Series” and “Too Simple, flies from"Our Man in Canada”, Marv Taylor fly patterns, and various other patterns from “World Wide”.

Maybe I should send you a couple CD’s of FAOL Fly Patterns, but I do not know the new mailing address… parnelli@comcast.net. ~Parnelli

I also have all of your weekly columns, as well as Neil Travis “From the Journal of…”, as well as all of Al Campbell’s “Field Editor” articles, & JC’s “Flies Only”.

Steven,

The work you have done out of the kindness of your heart is just wonderful and I really appreciate it very much. You stated you had: "Al, Campbells “Fly Tying Series” and “Too Simple.”

If you have that on a CD I would gladly pay you for a copy! His fly tying series and too simple flies were and still are great and if I could own a CD of them, it would be like owning gold to me! Let me know if this request is something that would be possible and not too much trouble for you.

Thanks,

I sent it to FAOL (publisher@flyanglersonline.com) the same day I made this post. Did you get it?

John

What a great service both of you are making to the FAOL Community. Is there a chance that the both of you could collaborate and make hyperlinks from the spreadsheet to the files on the CD. This might help tyers to find specific types of flies.

Perhaps your spreadsheet could be sent to Parnelli to add to his CD???
