can we get a furled leader forum category....

please!!!

If so there are some really good threads that should be transferred to it.

That would be a real twist to the way things have been done here for a long time. It would probably make Ron furl his brow. But if we gave him enough tippets, he would become a leader among us.

Forum for this—Forum for that. Not needed Bill:confused:

I seem to have started something, Sorry. It was only an honest question as I had not seen anything on furled leaders in NZ.
Cheers Steve

Welcome to the board and thanks for starting something very good:D

I hereby second the new category motion…

Leaving the ocasional furled leader post in the main forum does help bring them to the attention of new fly fishers who might otherwise not see anything about them. For what it is worth I have fished with furled leaders given to me by members of this board and don’t care for them for trout fishing as I am always adjusting my leader as I change flies. They work great for panfish and smallmouth where I leave things alone more.

Furled leaders, hand-tied leaders, tapered leaders, level leaders…
do you really need a dedicated forum? I, personally, do not see the need.
How much can you say or question? A very shallow well…just my opinion.

Bob

Bob…you might check out this site to see how much can be said or questioned…

you didnt start anything. you asked a question. but have you seen all of the threads on furled leaders lately? i say it needs its own category!

19 different threads on furled leaders since sept 1! yes this place need a furled leader category. you can include all types of leaders in there too.

ron wants to make changes, well heres a good one to implement

furled leaders in the “wanted” board, furled leaders in the “sound off” board

might as well put them in the “rod building” and “conservation” board too!!!

Welcome to our new NZ friend! You may have noticed, this is a very friendly and very helpful BB.

I don’t know whether we need a distinct forum, but I will say that furlers are not the isolated, lonely souls we once were… look at all those posts!
