Big furled leader formula cd

I am offering the members of FAOL, a Free CD, containing all of my “Big Furled Leader Formula’s”

These furled leaders are calculated for three tapers (50%,55% & 60%).

They are 54 calculations divided into 18 articles (Six articles per taper percentage).

Each article has three lengths for a given loop sequence.

I do not accept any money for these CD or cost of mailing…instead I just ask that (if you wish to do so), to Pay Forward and make copies for others at no cost and ask them (if they wish to do so) to Pay Forward.

The Big Furled Leader Formula can be view either in pdf or rtf (wordpad) versions.

Three Tapers (50%, 55% & 60%) included is graph chart of the individual segments of each furled leader (loop series & furld leader lenght)

The CDs arrived in good order here in The Netherlands, thanks! For those who want to compare the formulas with the outcome of the spreadsheet, Stephen adds 10% to the wanted final length, in the spreadsheet i work with percentage reduction from the unfurled threads. Example, for a 72" leader Stephen uses 72 + 7.2(=10%)= 79.2" for the unfurled length.
I use 72 + 8(10% from 80) = 80" for the unfurled length.
Just something to take into account, no big deal.

I have just finished adding the Metric Version of the same calculations to the “Big Furled Leader Formula”!

To those who have already received their Cd’s that only has the Inches calculations, you can either ask for a new CD to be shipped, or I can send you the Metric Version as attachment to your email…tell you the truth I like the Metric Version and decided my new Furled Leader Board is going to be in metric measurements for the pegging positions…

I have been doing calculations in the metric system for most of my life, specially when I was in the U.S. Army as a Artillery & Construction Surveyor, as well as a Pipeline (fuel, oil, lubricants), and as a Senior Nuclear-Biological-Chemical Warfare Specialist…~Parnelli

I totally agree with you about prefering the metric system!

Received the 2 CD’s in the mail today. Thank’s ,you’re a gentleman & a scholar.
Now it’s time to put the board back together & get started again. I’ve been training Rufus the bloodhound for trailing & haven’t had time to fish, tie flies , or furl leaders. He just needs reinforcement weekly so I’ll have time to get to the other hobbies. I did take him fishing with me once & what a disaster that turned out to be.

Thank’s again
Neil
