Gotta agree with you there Big Bad Wulff. 
I was told once by someone that's suppose to know to leave them alone if you are not having trouble. (dead pets, calves that sort of thing) He said if you kill one, then another one will move into its area and you may have trouble with the newcomer. I guess that makes sense, but I still go BANG when I get the chance.
