Not so, at least for some of us. I just read the entire article, and do not have a subscription.

P.S. Some interesting information that is directly related to what happened to the "old" Fly Anglers On Line Bulletin Board. That old BB stopped attracting younger and new fly anglers - at a time when there is much growth in the sport - while the BB languished and atrophied. I was aware that social media ( identified as instagram in the article ) was one of several factors in the virtual demise of the BB, but not that there were so many younger new fly anglers, although I do run into quite a few on a regular basis. Too bad FAOL didn't "keep up" and is likely an unknown resource to so many new fly anglers.
