Thanks to you all. You folks really are the salt of the earth. Last news I had today is Chrissy is still not out of the woods but improved enough to move to a regular critical care room.

It is so difficult to read this.

    Prayers are forthcoming.

The prayers are working! Thanks to all of you! Chrissy was stable enough yesterday to have the surgery on the vertebrae that were fractured in her neck. The docs don't think there will be any paralysis. They are probably going to reconstruct her knee today. She is battered, bruised, broken, facing more surgeries, drugged up and cracking jokes at the same time. Chrissy is tough as nails folks, the kind of person that could fall into a pile of road apples and come out with a smile. However she has not, to my knowledge, been told about Joe yet.

I have seen this woman work so very hard prepping freight for shipment to the troops. She has the respect and support of all the veterans and most of the civilians that she works with. Fortunately we live fairly close to her so Amy and I will be able to assist her at home. There is a long road to go but she has a good start on her recovery.
