From your post, Kilgore Trout has dropped out.
From my post.......? Strange.........
It was Sept., and I didn't see a post for the swap, so I was curious to know if maybe we had hit another dead spot. If that offended anyone, my apologies.
KilgoreTrout, there is no need to drop out just because I may be a bit socially inept. I'm not the brightest penny in the jar, but my heart is in the right place, just the same. If I hurt your feelings, or anything, I am very sorry. I really had no idea who's turn it was.
No apology needed. I suffer from old age disease. It is up now.

Several months ago I began visiting this site after a few years absence. When I had been active in that past life(lol), there was no 'schedule' of monthly swaps so this must be a new thing. Therefore, I have a question or two:
Are the frequency of swaps limited to 1x a month and per the swapmeisters listed? Or are additional swaps with other swapmeisters permitted?
Are there any 'new' rules for swap partcipants?
Thanks.
Allan
Allan:
Any one else, please feel free to expand. This is a swap of twelve of us who have agreed to one swap a month with the swap master choosing the theme. We have experienced some issues this year so people come and go based on interets. I know several of the folks in this swap are also invoved in other swaps with other "rules" and "themes". Gigmaster reassembled the list (posted above) when we had a number of folks drop out. Please PM him if you are interested in joining us. (He was appointed master swap master when John left because he was willingly(?) drafted .)
Allan: This is a Swap Of The Month (SOTM) and has been ongoing for several years, so long that I can't even remember who started it. We started out with 12 tyers, one for each month. The way it works is that each month, we take turns being the swapmeister, The Swapmeister gets to pick the pattern, materials or theme for that month, and the other participants tie 12 flies of what ever pattern they choose, that meets that criteria. They are sent in with toe tags to the Swapmeister, who sorts them into batches with one pattern each, and sends them out, and each month you get a cool collection of 12 great flies. Next month, the cycle continues with another Swapmeister.
You are more than welcome to join. We've had lots of drop-outs this year. I just tried to keep it going, because it has sort of become a tradition. I hated to see it go.
