Agree with Whatfly. A good friend messed around with perfecting HIS version before Cancer took him.
He used Muskrat because of it's natural water repellant and the thicker foam.
This is all I use now, but occasionally use 2mm.

if u tie with 2 mm first and it doesnt float, just glue two pieces together, and tie with that instead

Proving once again that there truly is nothing original in the mags, seems that the new FR&R also has an article featuring the Morrish Mouse.
Their recipe calls for 6mm foam

6mm foam works wonderfully.
