Southern Alberta Winter Fishing

Both are great possiblitys, The only thing with heading to crowsnest is the travel time. How long do you guys figure it is from Edmonton to Crowsnest.

I've done this trip a few times and it's pretty hard to do it in less then 5 hours. From Edmonton it's three hours to Cowtown (that's without stopping in Red Deer). Add a 1/2 hour if you stop. It takes a 1/2 hour to get through Cowtown (if you don't stop) and two hours to the Crowsnest. If you push it you could shave off 1/2 hour (not that I would condone such a thing). If it's a one day trip, it a tough one. I have a hard time even doing the one day Calagary trips now-a-days but they are fun and there's very little pressure on the river in March.
