My daughter first purchased a W10 (well, we bought it for her). She shot several hundred photos skin diving in St. John. I thought the camera was so good that I bought a W20. It fit in my pocket and was great for fishing and other snapshot opportunities. Well, the W20 was smashed by a certain teenager in my household so I bought a W30, a little better but essentially the same great camera. My wife then said she wanted one (can you believe this, the 4th camera). I compared it with the Olympus 790 S+W and ended up buying the Olympus and wish I had one also. The way I see it there are two differences. First the Oly is smaller which means easier to carry and therefore gets carried more often. Second, and most important, it has a lens cover which means that when its in your pocket with your keys and change the picture quality is not being compromised. So despite having gone back to Optio twice now, I would make the switch. Maybe Pentax will see this thread. Good Luck.
