    Default New Camera

Taken with my new Canon S3IS.
Got the lenses package too, can't wait to use the polarized one on some fish in the stream.

Its a Green Highlander in progress.

    Norm,

That is just what I did last week #@%&*$@. So I went out bought a Pentax Optio W30 7MP waterproof camera. So now I don't have to worry about it getting wet. I look forward to experimenting with underwater shots too.

I did the same thing. Always worried about dropping cameras in the water, I bought a Pentax Optio W20. Great outdoor shots, a little weak in the indoor/flash depot though.

I have the W20 and really enjoy it. As a safety precaution, you can attach a short length of cord, old fly line, etc. to the camera and leave it long enough so you can remove the camera from a vest pocket shoot a picture. If it slips from your hand, the cord will keep it from going into the water.

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

Debbie - Where was YOUR camera to record the epic moment? Guess we should behave now that HE has a new camera to record the moment if we fall in. We'll have to stick together and say he Photo Shopped us into the picture................Ed

    Drying out in Virginia

Alright now you two. I been wet before, actually this was the 2nd camera I have lost due to falling in. I even fell in at the 2004 Fish In in the Selway River. But no more losing cameras because I fall; which I am sure will happen again and again. Debbie, remember I have seen you wade and know it is only a matter of time for you.
