Hi,
I was looking at the Albright closeouts. Are the prices too good to be true? I mean, a $329 reel for $29? $99 fly lines for $ 19.99? Here is the link

Thanks,

Yeah. I bought from them before. They always seem to have good prices. BUT I bought one of those GP reels last time they were on sale. They do not handle the salt well. And somehow a large chunk came out of the rim of the spool.
Thanks to moderator for the move. I'll try to be more careful next time!

I have their A5 3wt 7'6", it is my fav mountain trout rod. I bought their breathable waders that were nice until I had a briar patch mishap. The time to buy is when they have these sales....

They make decent affordable fly rods/reels. I have a GP reel and GP rod that I got a few years back, both have worked well for me.
Don't believe those listed MSRPs for a second, they insanely inflate the MSRP so that they can advertise huge markdowns and make you feel like you're getting a screaming deal. They always are having a "big sale", those are their normal prices. The GP reel is not even close to a $330 reel, and you'll never find them actually listed at those prices. It is a decent $39 reel however.
Also, watch the shipping costs..they hae been notorious in the past for lowering price, then seriously overcharging on the back end...but that may have changed
