'06 Smokies Fish-In

Hi folks -

Well, less than a month to go, and the only FAOL'ers I have heard from that plan on attending the Fish-In in the Smokies are those from last year, plus Bryan Trantham. So, looks as if it will be a small, but interesting, group.

For those of you sitting on the fence, the Fish-In is scheduled for May 6 - 12, headquarted at the Tumbling Waters campground west of Bryson City, NC.

Drop me a note if you want more info - this will probably be the last thread I'll start on the event.

The activities are TENTATIVE 'cause if someone in the group has a better idea, we'll probably go along with that, or even have two or more groups going to different venues. Flexible, no?

Just wanted to post a stream conditions update for the fish-in. All of the waters, with the exceptions of the tailraces, are low and clear. Unless we get some rain, and lots of it, this will be the conditions at the fish-in.
The streams in the GSMNP will require lots of stealth for a successful day. The DH sections will be more forgiving.
Look forward to seeing the FAOL'rs at the fish-in!
