As much as I was looking forward to going, personal matters kept me from attending. I am sooooo looking forward to the write up. I'll be there next year for sure.

    Ron,

I am looking forward to it already! Can't wait to fish with you again. Jim was pretty bummed that you weren't able to make it too.

Jim has been trying to get me there since he bought the place. This year was the first time I said yes, then stuff happened. Next year though, for sure.

    Hugo,

Finally got the chance to drive the Highline over to Havre last week. We were up in Whitlash to spread my father-in-law's ashes at his family homestead and then continued to Havre to visit family and friends. The Sweetgrass Hills are pretty neat to see from Hwy 2 but up close they are absolutely beautiful; wish we could have spent more time there. Havre was very nice, too, and it was fun to drive around town with my mother-in-law, and her sister and see all of the places they lived when they were younger. Sorry I didn't get the chance to meet up with you this time; hopefully next year. Tried to PM you but your box is full.

    Regards,
    Scott

As rediculous as this sounds, I haven't fished since the fish-in in July. That is all going to change this week! My brother flies in from KC to spend some time with his new Godson and nephew...and me. We're going to break in the 2wt I made him for Christmas last year...

Should be fun. I'll post some pictures as soon as I have a little time.

Sorry I missed you, Scott. With the new addition to the family...well, we've been a bit busier than I imagined I would be...but I'm not complaining. I hope you do get back up here and can get hold of me next time...might have to show you a few good fishing spots.

Ok, so another long overdue post.
In October, my brother, Donald, came up to meet his nephew and godson for the first time. It was also the first time we got to fly fish Montana together. The fishing was no less than epic! Not only that, but come May, he is going to be making the move up here to be closer to his nephew...didn't even mention me, lol.
It was also the first time he got to use the Marine Corps Dress Blues 2wt I built him for Christmas last year here in Montana. He LOVES his rod, so once again, thanks for everyone's help.

Here are a few pics from his trip:

A pretty little brookie he caught.

    Tight lines,

Well, while I'm at it, both my brothers made the trip up from Missouri for Christmas. I was finally able to give my brother, Richard, his Christmas present from last year. A new fly vest with some Marine Corps patches on the back. I put his MOS patch on the top, the Marine Corps seal in the middle and the Opperation Iraqi Freedom Veteran patch under that. It really turned out well. We didn't get to do much fly fishing, but we were able to get him is first Montana trout on the fly.

And, the real reason they were both here...
