    Default Deployment

Last evening my son flew, probably out from Pope Air Force Base, for deployment to Afganistan. Previously in his two deployments to Iraq he was one of at least hundreds, and perhaps I was a little less concerned as I am this time. Different 'war zone', different numerical and types of personnel, different functions, responsibilities and jobs to perform.

Anyway, I know there are veterans here, recent and other, and I want to thank you again for your service. I hope you and all other members at FAOL will keep our guys and women who are over there in your thoughts and prayers.

He will be in our thoughts and prayers. If you don't mind telling what unit is he with over there? I watch what is happening close and like to see where the units are from when possible.

    Jesse,
Sorry, but I don't know the name of the unit.
