Thread: Father's Day carp

    Smile Father's Day carp

After a couple of frustrating days of not catching these guys in previous weekends, I researched some flies and did better on Sunday. I managed to catch 6, all about 8-12 pounds I'd guess. They were around 22-24 inches long. Caught in an urban park lake all about 1-2 fee from the shoreline. The water was pretty muddy, so I used a bright version of Barry's Carp Fly. As long as I got it right in front of their noses, they went for it.

Nice job. I have been catching all my carp this year on woolybuggers in blk or purple and a pattern I found called the backstabber.

Nice! Always good to get into some carp.
