Anyone using their reels, particularly the Alpha series, i am eyeballing a 7/8 for steel this year and was curious what others thought

I've only bought hooks and a couple fly boxes from them but have been pretty happy with the products/customer service. They sent me some hooks that were the wrong size one time, I e-mailed them, and received the correct ones a couple days later (before I put the wrong ones back in the mail). I was considering one of the reels, too; if you get one, let us know how you like it.

Scott
I have one. I like it. I loved the price...I don't have to worry about it.
New guy here. I have 3. Two A-5/6 and an A-9/10. I have one of the new Alpha II 7/8 on the way. Love them. Good price, excellent service. Picked up 8, 9, and 10wt lines a couple weeks ago. Seem to work well. Just getting back into fly-fishing after a few years away, and was looking for good equipment without breaking the bank. I'm very happy with them. If you sign up for the e-mail, you'll get a head's up on specials.
I don't have any of the Alpha's, but I do own several other Allen reels in 5/6 and 7/8 sizes. I've been using some of them for over 2 years now. I have not had any problems whatsoever. I've got a buddy that loves the smallest size reel (also not the Alpha), which he uses for ice-fishing (the large arbor helps eliminate/reduce line coils).
I've had excellent experience with their customer service...Justin has always been very helpful and quick to resolve any issues whatsoever.

I have the trout 5/7 for my 6wt, it reminds me of my shamino spinning reels, very smooth, nice drag. I would buy again.
