Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

    Thanks, All!

It is amazing what good doctors and prayer can do in a few short hours.

Paul is off the ventilator and responsive, even talking some and laughing. He has the busted up ankle, and the lower jaw, lower sinuses are crushed, as well as damage of some sort to several vertebrae in the lower neck-upper back area. No halo, just a neck brace at this time. The less hardware there is, the better, I think. A few problems with vision, he says, but no real serious head damage. Fortunately, his girlfriend was dumped off the back of the bike before the car hit him and has some good road rash, but that is all. She said she would wait to be mad at him for dumping her until he was healed up a bit more.

He is a very lucky guy.

And we sic'd our Pastor on him. He can't jump up and run, so we'll get him some reading from the Good Book.

Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.

Fantastic news! I always worry when head injuries are a part of any accident. Prayers Paul continues to recover quickly.
