I hate cold weather, what we have had isn't really cold compared to real cold weather. The last couple of nights as I got into bed on the cool sheets and pull the blanket up under my chin for several seconds, I have been reminded of the soldiers in the mountains of Afghanistan and thought of how cold they were standing guard or trying to get a little sleep in that GI mountain sleeping bag. God bless them everyone and their family.

    Thanks for sharing Maodiver.

I thanked a Vietnam Vet a few years ago, noticed a tatoo on his arm with a date and asked if he was a veteran. He replied yes, I thanked him and shook his hand. He came back into the store 20 minutes later, tears streaming down his face to thank me for thanking him...I was the first person to EVER say thank you.

Take every chance you get to thank a Vet or active serviceman/woman. It truly is the least we can do, they deserve so much more, but always appreciate our grattitude for what they do.

    TT.
