    Default an actual fishing report

Made it out to a popular Central Oregon winter fishery...

    and was greeted by this:

a couple days before, it was in the low 70s...

that's ok, a few of these came to hand:

I suppose I can't really complain about the weather since anytime you can catch trout on tiny dries when snow is falling, is a good time...

here are the tools of the trade:

    life is good,

PS: just noticed the "fish reports" section, but I never actually go there...so my apologies if anyone has issue with this being here...

One of the reasons I love the PNW is days like that. Well done.

Thumbs up Those are some seriously neat pics ....

    ..... Randy.

The pic of the stream is just beautiful - I can't hardly imagine it without the snow after seeing it like that. Someplace I'd spend some time, given the chance, for sure.

Great colors on the fish and rod pics, and exquisite detail on the trout. What kind of camera are you using ??

Hope you post more pics of your outings.

    John
    The fish are always right.

We fished the Metilous a few years ago in the summer, was a delightful trip and got to meet more fellow FAOL anglers. The fish were cooperative and the whole setting was amazing...even got to see Pete's Arabian horses!

That IS near the hatchery, but it was on the Fall River near Sunriver...my wife and I were staying with a friend of hers there who lived about a five minute drive from that spot...I almost bit the bullet and drove to the Metolius, but I'll get to fish it plenty in May...

Excellent report and pics, thanks for sharing. Some of my best and certainly most memorable days have been when the white stuff is falling all around. Dead silence except for the slurping of feeding fish!
