    it drives me absolutely crazy each winter.

    Come to South West Alberta for a visit in the winter we get chinooks and fly fish all year long...
    As in the Army, I have never had a bad day Fly fishing, some damn uncomfortable days but never a bad one!

    Another blessing of Va... no closed season...

    The only time we don't fish here is when the ice just builds up too much on the guides!

    You can chip ice out of the guides, Kid, don't stop til the ice builds up on the water!
    If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.

    Oh by then, it's doing that! The creek is the last spot to ice up.

    Plenty of waters open year round here in Penns Woods too.
