Thanks for another great pattern John. Keep up the good work and l'm looking forward to the next one.
Great presentation John,...i'll have to give it a try sometime. Talk about an easy to tye yet obviously effective big caddis pattern !
Cheers,

John,
That is a great fly and it worked wonders once I retied it on a longer hook. By the way, buddy, I've never gotten so excited at a rising cutt that I pulled the fly away. Well....maybe just once or twice...or three times...or...
Happiness is wading boots that never have a chance to dry out.
Thanks, guys.
I did actually take the opportunity to fish this fly last week on the Lochsa River. Caught about half a dozen smaller bows and cutts in half an hour or less on one really nice stretch of water, not far out from the bank.
Don't just reserve this one for the October ( September ) Caddis hatch. Might prove to be an effective attractor when nothing is happening. I wonder if those fishies up on the Lochsa were taking it for a small hopper ?? Not sure they have been around long enough to have memories of an October Caddis !!
John
The fish are always right.
