Your planned timing for early May should be good. The stream warms quickly and can already be too warm by June 1 in some years.

Smack mid May is your best bet.......the March Browns will be getting going nicely everyday and the fish really look up at them. Make sure your box has a nice assortment of dries, emergers, nymphs and even traditional wets and you're good to go.
Seriously, keep an eye open for rattlesnakes...they are there.
