    Default Cape Cod

My buddy and I spent the last week fishing the outer Cape
We fished the surf and Bay sides, the famous flats and some not so famous flats.
Fishing was at best average in most locations.
On the other hand, the fishing was outstanding in a certain oceanside bay (pm me)
When the wind was down, drifting in the kayak produced consistent action to blues and stripers in the 24" range during all stages of the tide
Fishing from shore on the rising tide was fast fishing, one after another.
Just before the top of the tide, the legal fish would show up.
Everyday, my partner and I landed at least 6 keepers between us, most in the 30"-32" range
My personal best for the week was a fat 38" striper... mid-day... from shore

And to think that I lived in Windsor CONN and Duxbury MA for about 15 years combined and didn't have a clue about fly fishing !!

Sounds like a great time, Dudley. I may have to consider a visit to see my son and his family in Holden MA about this time of year, next year.
    The fish are always right.

I don't know if you can see this, but this is a 19th century shipwreck
