    Default Minimalist Winged Wets

    Hi,

I've recently been looking over the colour plates from Pritt's selection of flies; the plates are in Neme's soft hackled fly addict book. Anyway, I've tied numerous spider patterns from Pritt's list, but I started looking over the winged flies. The winged wet flies look different from those I'm used to seeing today.

So, without following any specific pattern, I tried tying up a few winged wets to try and capture the minimalist nature of the dressings.

Here are the results, of which none have been fished yet:

    Default wee wets

Well done, they are great looking flies, these 'wee wets or spiders' are great flies and represent a whole heap different insects. These spiders are beautiful little gems to fish with too, do have fun with them and tight lines flyandtie1.

    Jeff,

Very nice, my friend. I do love the simple dressings (though setting quill wings sometimes presents a problem), mainly because they are so effective. Your wings look very good.
