Default Oldman River, SW Alberta, 16 Dec 07

Hay it was great, Golden Eagles and Bald Eagles, above us, big hawks on the way home, sun, wind +3C, then a lot more wind so we called it a day.

I had one of my favorite "sports" with me, my son Trevor.

There is a Golden Eagle up there

    Some Ice on the Banks

    Ice on the river rocks

    River Swallow nests

    Nice water

    Start of a good fight

    Tail Walker

Nice wild Rainbow, being held by a crazy old man

    Second Bow on the ropes

    Second Rainbow same old man

You musta been there a couple days after me, but we were hunting the big bulls. The wind warning was a little under-stated, and we ended up getting blown off the river when it hit 100km/hr (60 mph wind)...hit 2 bulls, didn't land either.

Going to the bow tomorrow..will post a report

    Nice!

I was there on the 21st... got skunked, but frozen lines are my excuse...
Do you tie flies or are you interested??
We have a fly-tying night in Lethbridge at one of the pubs, everyone is welcome, even just to stop by. Lots of talk about local water and we've done quite a few trips together.

    Cheers
