Swap Addiction

This is just a simple survey, to see how many on FAOL are swap addicts. How many swaps have you entered on FAOL and how many flies have you tied for swaps since 1-1-07. Do not include flies you have tied for yourself.

I usually tie my swap flies up with in a day of joining a swap.

I myself have entered 50 swaps so far this year for a total of 1004 flies.

I entered my first swap a couple months back. The first one was put on by ol' blue for the TS swap followed by Kaboom1 Punch Yarn swap. So I am no where near your numbers. My addiction stands at 2 swaps and about 2 dozen flies.

I hosted the very first flyswap on FAOL, and had an annual Panfish Swap for a few years before school and life conspired to rob me of time to participate.

4 swaps total including the 65 fly swap currently in progress.

I usually have the flies tied in a day or two sometimes even before I sign up for the swap. But i find that where I break down is actually getting around to mailing them.

I dont remember how many I have done this past year I think about 12 or so, I'll remember in about 10 years.

This year I have not done that many due to time constaints. With having 3 days off in a row I am gone fishing and camping and living on a farm I have lots to do. In the past I have done a lot. I don't even know how many anymore and a lot of flies tied. It is a lot of fun and I miss the swaps. I will probably do more this year once things settle down a little.

I am not sure how many I have been in or how many flies I have tied for the swaps.

I am not addicted to swaps. I have never found a reason to stop joining them.

I guess I should start labeling the boxes for when the swap happened. I have flies tied by some people that have died. Should make a shadow box.

Very interesting post so far. I do appreciate your responces. I keep a copy of the swaps I am in on my computer so I can access the info at any time. Helps keep me up to date. Thanks again John

I thank I may be addicted about 45 + or - swap, make that 48 working on three wright now.
