    PaGuy,
My wife and I are headed to Petersburg, Alaska during the middle of June (compliments of a gift from the kids). We will be there for appox. one week. Do you have any information regarding that area or someone to converse with regarding fly patterns, rods, line and etc?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Marty, July isnt a bad month to come to Alaska to fish, the salmon will be making their way upstream at that time and their will be some rainbow fishing. but late july wouldnt be my choice of a time to come to ak.

I would come in early july so I could hit up The king runs in the Valley and then hit up the early run of reds on the russian. Or I would come in Aug to fish for Silvers in the valley (The funnest salmon to catch IMO), second run of reds on the KP And the dolllies feast gong on when the reds are spawning. But my choice of time would be September NICE veiws of turning leaves Big Fat rainbows and Huge Kenai Silvers.

That said you cant go wrong on the time to come to alaska even the winter is great up here, It just depends on what you want ot fish for.
