    Do you find the CDL hen easier to work with than hun, would it be a good substitute?

    Hi Jeff,

    No, it is not a good sub for Hungarian partridge - no distinct mottling, much finer taper in the barbs - but it is a superb hackle in its own right, very easy to work with and very versatile. It is also one of the 'steals' in present day hackle.
