2014 Woodland High School Veteran's Interview and Breakfast
Our 8th Annual!!
Vets from all modern American conflicts represented (yes, there is a guy who went to Grenada!!). Almost 300 high school Juniors, and over 83 vets.
Students have breakfast with, and interview a Veteran of an American war about his or her experiences. They will then write a research paper and make a PowerPoint presentation.
I have students interviewing WWII Veterans from both the US military and a man who fought for Germany. I have Korean War vets who are here making sure the Forgotten War...isn't. We have many Vets from Vietnam, including a man who fought with the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. Grenada, Panama, Desert Storm/Shield, Iraq, Afghanistan. This is an incredible activity.
