"Fishermen are born honest, but they get over it"

The differences between fluoro and mono are pretty much what I would expect. The scores for the 3 fluoro tippets really aren't all that different (perhaps even within the error of their test / scoring system?). However, I wish they had included some of generic or "house brand" mono and fluoro tippet. It would be interesting to see if how test results compare for house brand tippet and the major brands.
I was really surprised at how little difference they found between the strength of the various knots and how weak they all were. This runs counter to all the information I have read about some knots being "100%" strength. The best knots they showed were only about 70%. I had long taken it as a given that the triple surgeon's was much stronger than a blood knot, but their results do not show that. It also suggests that we should not worry too much about wind knots, since they are almost as strong as any other knot in the system.
