    Hey, thanks, Brad! That is good to know. Makes me wonder what a Furled Leader made from 4 pound test SOS would test out at since that leader you tested was made from 2 pound test SOS!!

    I really appreciated the information you provided.

    Results are posted to your question by Brad. I made mine from 4-pound SOS (first time using it) and according to Brad excellent report; intact @ 15#

    Brad, thanks for your force gage / pull test report, Good Info!!.....Writing this makes me feels like I am at work, this type of testing is performed on our carpet floor mats OMG!!!

    They say there are no stupid questions. GUESS WHAT, I can't think of what SOS stands for. Would someone please enlighten me ?

    SOS is a brand of mono produced by Leland's Lures. It comes in 2, 4, and 6 pound test. I use it for my tippet material too. It seems very strong and is limp. The SOS stands for: S strong O obscure S small. It comes on a spool containing 350 yards for around $5. This is the same company that produces the Trout Magnet lure that spinner fishermen use.
