Thumbs up A great weekend fishing & visiting with the Grubbs!

Tim & Susan Grubbs came to Ohio for the weekend that passed all too quickly. Tim & I got into some "fair to middlin'" bluegill fishing & I got to wallow in muck when I fell in (AGAIN!).
We had a great time visiting, Tim's Susan & my Colleen got along great & a good time was had by all. They did get to meet my youngest Daughter Maggie, but got no pics of her. This morning my eldest, Molly, came over with her 4...5 year old Tori, 4 year old twins Abbi & Lexi, & 2 year old Mike....no, NOT me, my GRANDSON & Namesake! Following is a slide show of some of the action, Family, & Friends.
We did get into a mess of 'gills...released 'em all & figured we probably caught 50 or so, with just ONE under 8 1/2". Biggest were 9" & a little over. My hope was that I could put Tim onto some quality 'gills & I do believe we accomplished that. BTW, the farm house you'll see in the slide show is 194 years old.

Tim & Susan...Let's make it a WEEK next time & we'll hit some more "primo" water!

Very nice Mikey. I sure wish I lived closer to your bluegill factories. LOL

I'm disappointed...No pictures of you wallowing in the mud!!!!!

Job well done and it looks like you all had a good time.

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

    Mike,

Thanks for sharing your good time with Grubb. Is the pond/farm open to the public or do you need permission from the farmer to gain access? Sure is a beautiful place.
