I'll second WarrenP's recommendation for these lights. If you tie or have any need for a good, inexpensive light this is the way to go. I, like WarrenP have no affiliation, I'm just a satisfied user of an Ott-Lite.

Thanks for the heads up. I had an 18w floor model that went bad and I was looking to replace it. I frequent Joann's but wasn't aware of this sale. I just replaced my floor model with an 18w table top model at the 50% off rate. It lessened the pain.

I have one of these and I liked it until it broke. The flip up mechanism doesn't seem to be very well designed and after opening and closing it repeatedly the plastic snapped. I also have a floor lamp that I like as well but I could get this version closer to my vise and would carry it along on trips.

If they are on sale I might just get another one.
