Help for Lower Sac/Delta

Would like to hear from anyone familar with the Delta/Lowere Sac area in the Bay region North of San Jose. I'm planning a trip to San Jose and would like to do some smallmouth fishing on the Lower Sacrememto/Delta. What rod weights and lines (floating/intermediate/full sinking)should I bring. Any help greatly appreciated.

If you don't get much help here try posting at the northern california ff board, [url=http://www.ncffb.org:1c461]www.ncffb.org[/url:1c461] Many delta types on there. I would be leery of anything smaller than an 8 because of the stripers.

Don't forget the largemouth fishing is great up there and depending on what time of year, striper and salmon.
