Ivan, that's pretty good stuff! The wire connector is just icing on the cake.
I just use my electrician clip. The only thing I don't like about it is that there's no weight there. You've got to keep a hold on it!

I just made my own shepard crook from small brass rod and a dubbing tool shown above from a paper clip-- never use the things. BILL:tieone:

Ron, I saw that when you posted it ....after... I made most of my similar ones...out of the candle end of a candle stick holders from the thrift store...I like yours better for that style...although with the holders I can add lead shot for the advantages of weight...I suspect yours are heavy enough though...if I were starting now I'd probably do your way and just substitute a cup hook.....cup hooks might be a less expensive source of the hooks and not require bending.....nice job:cool:.
