Thanks for putting me on the " to remind " list Harold. We had some strong winds & about 5 inches of rain; one less than was needed to refill the pool from some draining due to the forecast of 10" to 20" that was to be expected last Friday. North side of the Skyway is only an hour away, so that's easy. Breakfast sounds good, lox tacos doesn't sound too palletable. Now lox & scrambled eggs or lox, bagels & cream cheese with onion, tomato, cukes & lettuce would be fine for me. Maybe I'd go as far as juevos lox rancheros or lox burritos for breakfast; unless y'all pick a better restauranter! Might have to consult the Blue Charts for boat ramps if the waters too cold! Just ain't used to those temps when the harbor & gulf waters around here is warmer than the pool !

Harold, there's normally some lox in my reefer. Cooks up really nice with scrambled eggs and sauteed onions.
Load that onto a taco shell and its gonna stay with you most of the morning. Add some hashbrowns and coffee to the mix and the sun begins to shine.

I figured that the way we all eat it would take between 30 and 50 lbs for breakfast and at least that much for snacks.

Stev is 120% correct, IMHO. A lox omlet with a bit of onion on an English Muffin is one of my favorites. You can substitue Taco shells, tortillas, Bagels and probably Fry Bread, but whatever you do, don't forget the lox.

Hope you will wonder down and help with the planning stage, Flats will let you in, he thinks you live in Florida anyway.
But if you are coming we will need to know ahead of time. I am not sure the rum will hold out with you there. Here is a picture of last years rum portion. Remember I do not drink. Also as you look at this remember it was full to start with. <<grin>>

Harold, the lox and egg dish I had in mind is called a LEO (lox, eggs, onions).
I usually use one package of nova lox cut into small pieces. For the two of us, I saute a med yellow onion, diced, in butter. When the onion is done to my liking I add 6 beaten eggs. At this point I may also add one or more herbs - parsley, chive, tarragon, oregano. When the eggs are set to my liking, I fold in the lox and turn off the heat. The lox will harden just a bit, add a lot of salt to the dish, and provide some nice orange color to the eggs.
Depending on the day of the week, I'll accompany this with bagels and cream cheese, butter, strawberry jam, or challah if it is Shabbat and I've made or bought challah.
Now I'm hungry. Time to head for the kitchen. Crab cakes and salad for dinner.
