Those are holes cut through from the face - a new design from the guy that “invented” the Zudbubbler. The theory is that they’ll make more noise by leaving a trail of bubbles.
Is that one piece of foam or folded over? curious

One piece block of foam.
Similar to the Blockhead foam heads, but not as tall in front, maybe a nudge wider.
Very interesting design with the bubbler holes. Thanks for sharing these with us. I’ll have to give them a try.
