ZipCast

All I can say is WOW! Thank you, Jerry, for such a wonderful product. I love it! Easy to apply and makes a big difference in casting distance.

Eric;
I’ll second that!! I’m on my second bottle.

Jack,

Your second bottle of what!!!

Going to have to get another bottle soon myself. Of ZipCast, that is.

WarrenP,
Have you introduced Jack to some of that ā€œMagic Elixirā€ y’all have been famous for. Won’t help your casting any but then again you won’t care about casting either.

Great stuff! Every line I have is treated with it. BTW, check out Jerry’s site for other great stuff. Can’t beat these FAOL sponsors.
Mike

I just ordered two bottles because of you guys. Thanks!

Man, my eyes are still recovering from their website. I feel like I have been staring into a total eclipse for a while

Ok, add my vote for Zip, I finally got around to trying it out, I’m in, it did in fact bring my 3 year old S/A line back to life!!! lol and I didn’t even know the line was not as good as it use to be. I guess it was a suttle thing that happend over time, so I didn’t pay that much attention to it. Put that Zip cast stuff on it and wow, brand new line!!! Cool!!!

Got my 1st bottle of ZipCast last week. I applied it to an old Orvis WF5F line that I had and took to the lawn to see what this stuff was all about. I was absolutely amazed at the difference. I didn?t feel like there was anything on the line but it shot like a rocket. I am totally sold on this product.
DickM.

sounds like i have to buy a couple bottles by the way you guys swear by it

Can someone share what site Jerry sponsors? I’d like to check out this ZipCast line cleaner.

Jerry sponsors THIS site!!! Go to the sponsors page and scroll down to ā€œFly Reel Dotsā€, it’s a kewl web page.
I’m sure hoping Jerry brings a case of the Zip Cast to the fish-in in Michigan!

Betty,

Unfortunately I won’t make the Fish-In this year, an earlier commitment keeps me away. I do wish I could make it, but I will be sure some ZipCast makes it there and Dots too.

Dick & everyone else, I am thrilled ya’ll like how well ZipCast performs. I was negelecting my lines too until I discovered ZipCast and to hear ya’ll say how your old lines have been revived is great. I am extremely tickled to death to be able to bring you ZipCast and its benefits. Don’t toss that old line out, instead invest a small amount in a line conditioner (ZipCast) and see for yourself.

Dot

Here’s a shortcut to the ZipCast Site

Jerry,
Give me a call…I’ll get your stuff to the Fish-In.

DickM - Here’s a better one!

http://flyreeldots.com/

While you can buy Zip Cast directly from the manufacturer (that would be Tom Kirkman), it is a MUCH better idea to support one of FAOL’s sponsors (that would be Jerry Brumfield, aka Dot Man). There is absolutely no advantage to purchasing Zip Cast from the manufacturer - the price is the same. However, when you buy from Jerry, not only do you have his legendary service standing behind your purchase, you are helping to support an honest family man’s business that he puts a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into.
FWIW, I have no monetary interests in Brumfield Enterprises, but Jerry IS a friend of mine - a fact that I am most proud of!..Ed 8)

Heritage Angler…
If you go to the manufacturers website. The site that I posted. You will be told that the manufacturer does not sell the product himself and when you place an order he automatically gives the order to Dot Man.
So, Dot Man still comes out on top and we still support the FAOL sponsor.
I was just trying to show an easier route to Dot Man.
DickM.

DickM - Odd that Tom still collects your credit card info, even if he does forward the sale to Dot Man. FWIW, I bought several bottles of Zip Cast from that site just a few days before Jerry became a dealer for it. At the time, there was a post on another forum that expressed concern about the security of the Zip Cast site regarding credit card info. It did not appear to be a secure transaction, when in fact it was. I had no problem, as did everyone else that bought it from Tom Kirkman’s site. The use of Jerry’s site assures your security, and also provides the opportunity to add some of the other excellent products he sells to your order. I’m not trying to be a P.I.T.A. , just pointing out the preferred method of ordering that I’m sure Jerry will second. I think it’s commendable that you are looking out for one of our own here on FAOL - we’re on the same page, just different paragraphs. It’s all good…Ed

One question, with zipcast do i just apply, or do i clean first like i do with my SA fly line treatment?

Nick - Just run the line through a patch with Zip Cast on it. It cleans AND slickens the line all in one shot. I have tried applying Zip Cast after I did the soap and water treatment to a line, and the Zip Cast removed dirt that the soap and water treatment missed. Now I just use Zip Cast on my lines and save the soap and water treatment for removing the fish stink from my landing net.

Would it be accurate to say that Zipcast is mainly a cleaner and the ā€œimprovementsā€ come from cleaning and not adding any ā€œslicknessā€ to the line?

The recommendation is to use it very frequently.

Oh…and yes I use it.
