Received the usual great and speedy service from Jerry for the items purchased. Yesterday was first opportunity to try the “Zipcast” on one of my lines. Made two applications, per instructions, and it really does a great job. Don’t know about adding ten yards to my pitiful casts; but ten yards of line jumped right off the reel as soon as the “Zipcast” was applied - HONEST!!! Would a fisherman lie?
It really did seem to slide through the guides a lot smoother. And, evidence of “dirt” on the line (small streaks) was left on the cloth used for the application.
There should be a warning on the bottle that reads “Very Very Slick make sure you have 20’ feet of flyline extended beyond the tip top”. Last week while fishing my line started to sink a bit so I did an application of Zipcast. While striping in my line I got it to within 2 or 3 feet of the tip top and … :o Well the next thing I know I am having to reline my rod. Dang Zipcast! Slicker than elephant snot.
i find it slicker than snake snot on a doorknob but after using it for awhile in water it does lose its slickness. good for a couple of outings and then its time to reapply.
