Zip Cast!!! WOW!

Many will say, duh as you already know. BUT, to anyone on the fence…buy the stuff.

I was skeptical, as always. After a year or so, I broke down and ordered some…and WOW!

It even made a marginal caster like myself look good…definitely added some distance.

Job well done from the Reel Dot Guy!

BRHOFF,

You are so right! It should be called “Zip Cast Gunpowder” the way you can “shoot” line after using it. Also decided to try some a while back and was pleasantly surprised at the results.

Ok, ya got me curious now … what is Zip Cast??

Mike

Mike…DON’T ASK!! Just simply go to the “Sponsor’s Page”, here on FAOL, click on “Reel Dots” and ORDER IT!
Actually, it’s a line cleaner/treatment, sold by Reel Dots. But as t “WHAT” it is, no one’s saying. I’ve heard, it’s made by Lithonian Pygmies, deep in the shallow forests of Iowa, but that just may be all rumor, who knows?
I’ve also picked up, on the tale, that it’s “made from a SPAM extract”, but again, maybe only a rumor.
Whatever, buy some, treat your lines with it and you WON’T be sorry, believe me!

Ya sold me. Gonna go to the Reel Dot site, finally found it, and check it out.

do you normally apply to this to the entire fly line length ??

thx’s a bunch.

Mike

Paul…I heard it was made from the broken hearts of trout fly fisherman wanna-be’s.
Anyway…it may not make me look any better, but my sloppy casts are made with a lot less effort that’s for sure.

ZipCast is great stuff. Been using it for years and love the results. If you have any questions, Jerry will be more than happy to answer them. His a great guy selling and creating great products.

By the way, ZipCast is made from elephant snot.

I ordered it a couple months ago, and it cleans and works great. BTW – it’s made from Newfoundland (the dog) drool.

do you apply this ZipCast to the entire length of the fly line, … tip to tip ??

Mike

I do, but I concentrate more on the dirtiest (front ) part of the line.

I treat the entire length of the line with it. Some time ago I did some unscientific research fro Jerry Brumfield, the owner of Fly Reel Dots/Brumfield Enterprises. I use gun cleaning patches purchased at Wal-Mart to clean the line. Get the cotton ones that are in the big bulk package as they are inexpensive. Also carry some Q-Tips with you to soak in ZipCast and clean your rod guides with them. You may be shocked to see how much crud was on the guides and you didn’t realize it.

Try Jerry’s dots too. They are fantastic little items for your tippet and the case dots are terrific at helping to identify what is in which case. Sorry to run on so but i have to put in a plug for Jerry. He is a great guy! You will enjoy doing business with him and, yes, he fly fishes.

I plan to put in an order for the ZipCast and ReelDots tomorrow for sure.

thx’s
Mike

You can clean as much of the fly line as you like. At the end of each day’s fishing I attach a Renew applicator or use an old t-shirt or cotton gun cleaning patches and clean the entire line. That way I know its clean and ready for the next time.

Are all of you REALLY sure !!! that this isn’t made of spam

I overheard Jerry say it was made from the stuff that Nauga hide.

Well what ever it’s made of … I just order some and gonna give it a try. I got some of this other stuff from SA, Fly Line Dressing, which has been working pretty good. We’ll see how well this ZipCast works now

Always pick’in up some really great tips here, thanks all!

Mike

Much unlike the others I have tried…not wax like.

I could be wrong, but to clarify, I believe zip has been around awhile. Dot Man is the sole distributor. (not the manufacturer) Here is the site link:

http://www.zipcast.net/

I am disappointed zip is not make from spam. I have a connection.

Thank you all so very much. It really is pretty good to hear so many good things about a product that I distribute. I am very fortunate and greatly appreciate your business and kind words. I am gonna try and get all these orders out before I leave on a mini vacation on Wednesday.

All the best to you all.

Dot

Hey, no problem…it is refreshing to get something that actually does what it is advertised to do. I used to run a small niche internet business and found the only way to compete was to be better than the big box stores and this product certainly fits the bill.

I am going to pass word to a local Ohio fishing site as well.
