Anybody out there know of a pattern for the zebra caddis?

I’ll be fishing the Housatonic in mid-June and been told that this is something to watch out for.

I did check the FAOL archives but couldn’t come up with anything.

Steven… I can’t be positive, but I’d be willing to bet the Zebra Caddis is the Alder Fly. I heard the two names together allot when I lived in NH and fished the Androsgoggin River.

The names somehow get screwed up in certain areas up there. I was specifically told, “not the alderfly” but a real caddis.

You are quite correct, the Zebra Caddis has been called the Alder fly on the Housatonic for so many years people just accept it.

It can be a very nice hatch for weeks, great fishing.
