My apologies. It is a misprint from my file. This picture was from a fly swap that I was participating in recently, and I had changed the fly I was tying from the Crazy Worm (which I still havenât gotten to work like Iâd like it too), to a variation of your DSV worm. However, I negelcted to change the title of the picture on Photo Bucket when I replaced the picture. On this topic, I merely inserted the image in answer to the question of favorite bluegill flies, with no commentary. It was late and I was tired.
I did not state that the picture was of the actual flies I tied, nor that these flies were of my design. If you will check my posting on Fly Swaps under âWorm Swapâ, I even noted the differences, ie, bead chain eyes and chartruese body, and posted a link to your site. The pic was for illustrative purposes only.
I am sorry if I ruffled your feathers. It was simply a typographical error, which I have already corrected. I will also correct the posting on this topic, with a link to your site.
This will teach me not to post when Iâm worn-out!
Again, my sincerest apologies.

This is correction to an earlier post that had a incorrectly labeled picture.
It shouldâve read:
DSV Jig Worm http://www.flytyingforum.com/index.php? ⌠howid=4548

Semper Fi!
My apologies if there was any confusion. The mistake was mine through inattentivness and negligence.

In our neck of the woods we use either a Jitterbee or a Cap Spider. We fish the Jitterbee under a strike indicator. The Cap Spider either with an indicator or withoutâŚ
Jitterbee

Cap Spider

The gill caught below were all caught with a chartreuse/black Jitterbee by yours truly!

Favorite simple.
Five seed beads on a hook with a bump of thread to hold them on.
So many intrepretations. Hard to beat the fun of a Gurgle Pop. Hard to do much better over the many years of fishing for gills than a peacock herl wooly bugger with a green grizzly hackle palmered in. Then there is the more recent success of the Hare nâ Copper. My favorite of all is a black Gill Buster â when I can keep LMB and other species off of it. JGW
