You know it's been too long since you went fishing, when.......................

  1. You can’t find those new boots you bought last summer.

  2. You have more flies tied and ready than you could use in a lifetime ready for your trip.

  3. The new equipment you bought over the winter will cause your suitcase to exceed the 50# airline limit…

etc, etc.

  1. You get involuntary casting movement in your arm when you think about fishing.

The sun has come up more than three times since your last outing.

John

The sun has set and you didn’t get out today.

Your dreams of fishing days past are all you have to hold on to

when i pull into the driveway on the way home from work without wet waders to unload

When I’ve been in Arizona since September…and haven’t fished ONCE!

(Colorado soon  )

You have already loaded the car for your Memorial Day camping trip to Hat Creek…and it’s Monday

When you have to look for all of your tackle and equipment. And when you get there you didn’t get it all.

Then I compounded it by locking my keys in my pickup at the church.

When you are asked what did you catch and you reply “a cold.”

When you don’t mind fishing with your 6 year old daughter’s princess rod/reel outfit.

You find cobwebs in your waders.

Ed

Your license is no longer valid

Something put those cobwebs there. Better conjure up your inner toad and get that brown recluse, before it gets you.

Your rod case has dust on it.

Your wife orders you to go fishing.

It takes you longer than 5 minutes to gather your gear together.

Your fly box has no more room.

You practice double hauls while walking into work (I do this most days lol)

Your planned trip to hat creek gets changed to some lake…and you don’t care that you have to fish a lake

You look for rises in rain puddles

If your waders are dry

if u see someone fishing in the river downstream of the bridge your on and you rear-end the person in front of you because you see them fighting a big one in (thankfully i was only going about 2 mph lol)

When you watch for risers in golf course water hazards while zipping down highways.
