Yeager's Lady Power SBS

Arizona tyer Mike Yeager merged a Gartside Sparrow with a Peacock Lady to create a cool looking stillwater attractor.

hook - Mustad 79580 #6
thread - Danville 6/0 black
bead - 5mm gold (non-tox wire for stabilization)
rib - small oval tinsel silver
tail - marabou red
body - peacock herl
hackle - pheasant rump
collar - aftershaft dyed brown

Part 1

mash barb, slide on bead; make a few wraps of non-tox and jam inside bead

start thread, tie in rib and wrap back to bend

measure (gap width past bend) a clump of marabou; tie in, trim butts cover with thread

tie in peacock; wrap forward, tie off, trim

counterwrap rib; tie off, trim

Part 2

prep pheasant rump feather; tie in by tip

stroke fibers back (wet fingers help) and wrap hackle; tie off/trim

remove twist from thread, split

prep aftershaft, insert in split thread, spin

stroke moistened fibers back (again with the spit), wrap collar, tie off, half hitch x 2, SHHAN
