I’ll be up at the Yampa River in three weeks. While snooping around to see how the area was fishing I came across an artical in the Denver Post that stated that Yampa would be closed to fishing due to warm water. Warm water and trout don’t mix and it will put a lot of stress on the fish. I don’t want to fish for these poor fish if the water is too warm. Does any have any info on this subject. Later.
This is several weeks old but it is still hot here and probably still in effect. Voluntary closure.

Good luck
I’m here in Steamboat and yeah, voluntary closure on the Yamper… plenty of other fisheries however esp. stillwater.
Our voluntary fishing ban has been lifted due to a nice (ahhhh!) rainy spell.
