writers?

Why don’t some of you folks write up your fishing stories and send them in to FAOL?

I am not the only one who fishes, and I know there are better writers than me out there.

Share what you know or what you have discovered that helps you catch fish.

Honestly,I hav’nt the brain power for all that.

“I’ve often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before” A.K.Best

“Wish ya great fishing”

So far this year, mine have been more like horror stories, did send one to LF though.

Rick, I’m not much of a writer either but I do enjoy your articles. Keep up the good work. The Panfish articles are the first thing I look at on Monday morning. I wish I had half of the success fishing that you seem to have.

I am in awe of the people who are able to take their thoughts and put them into words. My posts usually take three drafts before they don’t look like they are produced by a third grader. Maybe you would like to share your experiences with some of your signature flies received in a certain swap? Hint Hint. Please be aware that I am never above false praise and down right lies.

I’m with ftroop7. I also look at your column first thing on Monday morning. I don’t get much time to fish and living it vicariously through you is the next best thing. I’ve got a question though. What knot do you use to tie the fly onto your tippet with? I’m thinking I should be using a Duncan loop for more action instead of the improved clinch. Thanks and keep writing!

I am working on one about urban fly fishing. My only hang up is that I have no spirits looking over my shoulder, so it is taking me longer to write. Once I do, I fire it off to LF.

Yo! Rick!!!
I have to get my wallet and check my fishing license to pick up the right check on Friday…PG&E used to help out. They put my name on the front of my hat!
With our atroscious spelling and two blistered fingers, we’ll leave to writing to you and the others.
You’s guys do a GRAND job! THANKS!!!

I’ve asked Rick for some help/ideas on an article L.F. asked me for on a recent event held here in Evart.
I must say it was quite a thrill to get a call from that great lady asking ME to submit a write up for “Readers Casts”.

I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here!

Cactus AKA “Lucky Dog (Pirate Name)”

I use four or five different knots. I am trying to figure out what I like the best.

anglerdave, the writing might be easier if the spirits stay on the shelf, not in the glass.
