Wright and McGill Sweetheart 2A...

I inherited a Wright and McGill Sweetheart 2A 8’6" fly rod but it’s not in good shape. Some of the markings are rubbed off the base, so I cannot tell what weight it is. Is there a way to determine this? Or does somebody know the weight of the Sweetheart 2A? I suspect it’s around a 7 weight (based on some internet research).

Start with some 5w line and move on up. See what it likes. Try different brands also.
